Every well designed compressed air system requires a suitably sized receiver to operate correctly. The receiver acts as a storage vessel storing air until it is required. This means your system can cope better with large short term peaks in demand without requiring a larger compressor to manage these short terms peaks.
AE Parts offer a range of high quality air receivers. These are of various sizes to match your system and compressor size. We also offer painted and galvanised receivers depending on the application and location the receiver is intended to be mounted.
Receivers are a pressure vessel that contain large amounts of potential energy. It is essential that they are correctly manufactured and certified. They also need to be inspected annually for damage and corrosion. They also need to be fitted with a correctly sized safety / pressure relief valve. This also need to be checked for function annually.
The receiver is normally where condensate collects. This oil and water mix collects in the receiver since this is where the velocity of the compressed air first drops after the compressor. This condensate needs to be drained regularly to prevent corrosion. We offer a range of drain valves and condensate cleaners to manage the draining and disposal process automatically.
Having the correctly sized receiver for the compressor often means you can have a smaller sized compressor saving you money in purchase and running costs.
